OFFERING ONE

/ BIOKINETICS

As clinical exercise specialists, our role is to improve a person’s physical wellbeing and quality of life through individual assessment and the prescription of exercise.

This is done to prevent or intervene with certain ailments and to enhance performance in sport, work and daily life. We evaluate and measure body posture, body composition, blood pressure, heart rate, fitness, muscle strength, endurance, power, flexibility and perform health screenings. And from there an exercise routine is formulated to best suit the needs of your body, often incorporating yoga or pilates, or a combination of the two.

We are continually learning and looking for the most effective techniques to achieve the best results for the wants and needs of clients and patients.

OFFERING TWO

/ YOGA

Improved flexibility is one of the first and most obvious benefits of yoga, but the style of yoga we teach also has a strong base in building muscle strength, improving posture, assisting joint stability, helping balance and increasing blood flow.

Our studio offers Vinyasa yoga which is a moving, dynamic set of postures that ‘flow’ from one pose into another. The unique Vinyasa style we offer incorporates asanas (poses and postures), pranayama (breath control), mindfulness and meditation.

Our style is safe and suitable for everybody, from the novice, the unfit and the injured to professional dancers, elite athletes and advanced yoga practitioners.

OFFERING THREE

/ PILATES

While pilates training focuses on core strength, it actually trains the body as an integrated whole. It promotes strength and balanced muscle development as well as flexibility and increased range of motion for the joints. Other health benefits include improved posture, increased energy and weight loss.

Rather than offering Pilates-inspired or Pilates-based programs such as those offered in many health clubs and medical centres, at JJust Move we offer the original Classical Pilates method. Our philosophy is to continue the original teachings and work of Joseph Pilates, while still tailoring sessions and exercises to the specific needs of the individual on any given day – just as Joseph Pilates intended.
